Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney merges with Florida law firm

Listen to this articleBuchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, which has an office on North Second Street in Harrisburg, announced in a news release that shareholders from its firm and from Fowler White Boggs P.A., of Tampa, Fla., agreed to the sale.
The new firm will be one of the 100 largest in the country, according to the release.
The new company’s Florida operations will work under the combined name of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney/Fowler White Boggs for a year. After that transition period, the combined firm will be branded under the single name, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.
Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney has 15 offices on the East Coast, while Fowler White Boggs has five offices in Florida.
Tracie Gliozzi, Buchanan’s director of communications and public relations, said the merger will not affect the Harrisburg office, which has 38 attorneys and government relations officials, and 23 other employees.
