Scott Downs, former general manager and publisher of the Lebanon Daily News, will take the helm this week at the Paxton Street office in Harrisburg, said Adam Reinebach, CEO and president of Dolan Publishing Group, the parent company of CPBJ and Parent.

“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to join such a well-respected publication as the Central Penn Business Journal,” Downs said. “My immediate goal is for us to keep providing our readers with the outstanding journalism they have come to expect, and deserve. We’ll remain committed to providing more information, more analysis and more advice pertinent to business, to keep businesses throughout the region well-informed.”

Reinebach also named ShaunJude McCoach, as associate publisher for CPBJ and Central Penn Parent. McCoach joined CPBJ in 2013 as its sales manager.

“I have worked in print and digital media since 2003, and my career has taken me all across South Central PA, serving clients in Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Hanover and Franklin counties before joining CPBJ,” McCoach said. “The position gives me the opportunity to work on both the B2B side of house as well as our B2C division. I believe we have the best account executives in the business with two incredibly strong and well-known brands.”

Downs expects the transition into CPBJ and Parent to be smooth.

“I’ve lived in Central Pennsylvania for most of my life, and have been fortunate to work with many terrific media companies, news organizations and advertisers,” he said. “Because of my familiarity with the market, I anticipate a smooth transition into my new role.”
