UPMC Pinnacle’s planned primary care practice in the downtown Harrisburg development is set to open Nov. 20, officials said Thursday.

Strawberry Square FamilyCare will be located next to the Rite Aid pharmacy in Suite 165. There, Dr. Robert G. Little and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Judith Schambach will see patients from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. They are accepting new patients.

The new practice will have six exam rooms, a community conference room, a patient registration and waiting area, and laboratory services.

“Currently, those living and working in downtown Harrisburg have minimal access to primary care,” said Dr. Robert Nielsen, president of PinnacleHealth Medical Group. “We’re creating new opportunities for ongoing, solid relationships with primary care providers, which improve overall health and wellness.”

It will be the latest addition to Strawberry Square’s diverse mix of shops and services.

Earlier this week, neighborhood grocery store Provisions opened on the ground floor, the first such retailer to spring up in the city’s business district in decades.

The Rite Aid store next to Strawberry Square FamilyCare is another recent addition. It opened in May after moving from a longtime location across Market Street.
