With CEO gone, Capital Region Water looks for new leader

Capital Region Water officials declined to elaborate on the reason for her departure. The organization is currently looking for a new leader.
In a statement, board Chairman Marc Kurowski thanked Gority for her leadership during the transition of utility operations from the City of Harrisburg, the rebranding of the Harrisburg Authority as Capital Region Water and the establishment of stormwater utility operations.
Capital Region Water took over operations and ownership of all water and wastewater assets, including the city-owned sewer collection and stormwater systems, as part of Harrisburg’s debt-recovery plan in 2013.
Gority took over as interim executive director in 2011 before dropping the interim part of her title in 2012. She was engineering director for the authority prior to the promotion. She joined the authority in 2009, according to her LinkedIn profile.
