The designation gives Soccer Shots franchisees a better opportunity to establish partnerships and share resources with local US Youth Soccer clubs, which could create a stronger participant pipeline for the clubs as children age out of Soccer Shots, CEO Justin Bredeman said. On the flip side, the partnership will help ensure that those clubs promote Soccer Shots to families with younger children.

“Most importantly, this partnership lays the foundation to increase participation in the sport among young children across the country,” he said.

Soccer Shots offers a training program for children ages 2 through 8 that focuses on building early soccer skills. About 90 percent of franchise participants are 5 or younger. The franchise company was founded in 2005.

Soccer Shots has 112 franchises operating in nearly 40 states and Canada.

US Youth Soccer is the largest youth sports organization in the country with more than 6,000 local clubs. It  registers more than 3 million players annually between the ages of five and 19. The national governing body for soccer is the United States Soccer Federation.
