The new clinic will be the first Wellspan clinic under the WellSpan Urgent Care name.

The new name also will make its debut Monday at WellSpan QuickCare and ReadyCare locations in York, Adams and Lancaster counties. WellSpan CareExpress locations in York County will not be impacted by the name change.

The WellSpan ReadyCare located on Wolfe Road in Hopewell Township will close after Sunday and move into the Shrewsbury location. The WellSpan Family Medicine Stonebridge clinic, also located on Wolfe Road, will not be affected by the change.

The renaming effort is part of a consolidation of services to ensure patients have a universal experience at any WellSpan walk-in clinic, said practice administrator for urgent care services Kyle McGill.

“We wanted to make sure that the public could identify what services they were going to, from a WellSpan perspective,” said McGill. The consolidation will even go so far as to ensure each urgent care center has a similar look similar and staff to offer the same experience to patients.

The new clinic will have one provider, one medical assistant, and one radiology technician on staff at all times and will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

According to McGill, patients will retain one bill for services rendered at any WellSpan Urgent Care.

“We’re going to bill as an urgent care center in all of those areas, which would consolidate our billing where the patient gets one bill from WellSpan, which I think is very important,” said McGill,

The new clinic will host an open house for the public featuring games, raffles and free blood pressure screenings on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon.
