He was senior vice president and chief medical officer at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a staff family physician in Nebraska. He has a bachelor’s degree from Carroll College in Wisconsin and a medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Dr. Melissa Puher and Heather Weddle were named members of UPMC Pinnacle Supportive Care and Palliative Medicine’s clinical team. Puher has a medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Weddle was director of clinical services for the mid-Atlantic region with Aspire Healthcare. She is an advanced practice registered nurse and has an undergraduate degree from York College and a master’s degree from Widener University. Cristina Salabao was named a member of Hematology and Oncology. She has a degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a master’s degree from Saint Louis University.
