Bon-Ton in talks to sell

Buyers had until April 2 to submit bids under a bankruptcy court-approved sale process, Bon-Ton said Friday. But lenders have given the company an extra two days.
An auction for the company would be held April 9, followed by a hearing April 13 to approve a sale.
Bon-Ton has suffered a string of financial losses and is in the process of closing 42 stores, including one in Carlisle.
The company, which has dual headquarters in York County and Milwaukee operates 251 stores in 23 states under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers banners.
