Wyndridge Farm to offer lodging starting in September

When the last child moved out of Steve and Julie Groff’s home, the owners of Wyndridge Farm in York Township decided to repurpose their entire home.

During an event last night held at the Barn at Wyndridge Farm, Steve Groff announced that his brewery, restaurant and wedding destination will start offering overnight accommodations as well.

“We are excited to announce the fall launch of our bespoke lodging experience: Stay! Wyndridge with our flagship property, The Inn at Wyndridge Farm,” he said. “The unique concept will offer packages of custom lodging, tailored food and experience options, delivered with Wyndridge flair.”

The 6,000 square-foot home, which is undergoing some minor cosmetic interior renovations, is slated to open for overnight stays in September.

The five-bedroom home will be open year-round and can sleep 15 to 18 guests, said Steve Groff. The space features two dining areas and a main living area with a stone fireplace, a master/honeymoon suite with a king bed, spa bathroom and a private balcony with access to a hot tub. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms and a bridal suite with four large mirrors and vanities.

Guests will have access to the kitchen or the restaurant’s executive chef as well as a backyard and two stone patios.

Packages are available to suit the needs of an event – from weddings to corporate events. The Groffs have already opened up reservations for the inn for those hosting fall weddings and will be booking ahead of its September opening. Costs to rent the Inn range from $1,000 a night on weekdays to $1,750 on Friday and Saturday nights. 

In the future, Steve Groff said hopes to be able to offer team-building activities, retreat work space, private chef dinners, bicycling and ATV activities on the 77-acre property.

Since first opening the business in 2014, Julie Groff said that guests often asked about accommodations. Once all three of their children moved out, the Groffs decided to move out of their family home and down the road. During their first year, Julie Groff said Wyndridge hosted 25 weddings. This year, the venue has 85 slated – and is already booking well into 2019.

The York Township property, Steve Groff said, may only be the beginning.

“The concept involves a portfolio of comfortable, upscale custom residences with relaxing environments and amenities suitable for families, special events, corporate functions and retreats,” he said.

Each property would be hand-selected by the couple and primarily available on a whole-house concept.
