Waste processor ERC converts industrial building into new Lancaster County HQ

The 8,500 square-foot building at 1116 Manheim Pike in Manheim Township, features both private offices and open work spaces, a fully equipped kitchen and a patio for employee gatherings. The cost of the project was not disclosed.

The new headquarters house approximately 17 sales, marketing and administrative employees and can accommodate more than 35 as the company expands.

The company employs 115 people overall and serves customers within a 175-radius of Lancaster County. In addition to its Lancaster operations, ERC runs a facility in Baltimore.

ERC has grown organically and through acquisitions over the last five years as businesses seek sustainable alternatives to handling waste, Ken Lefever, ERC‘s president, said in a statement.

“This new headquarters building is the beginning of an exciting chapter for us,” Lefever added. “Our team is motivated to continue growing in the Northeast and expanding our reach into areas like northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.”

ERC processes a wide variety of non-hazardous waste materials from a diverse array of industries, including: transport, disposal, industrial services, roll-off, containerized waste, portable restrooms and food waste.

The project was handled by Lancaster architecture firm Stuart & Associates Architects Inc. and Manheim Township construction company Vanguard Development Group Inc.
