The deal closed June 29. Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to a news release announcing the deal, the companies have retained their current names and offices. All nine employees have remained at Weber Surveyors, but there have been a few changes at the top.

Kevin Werner, business operations manager at Land Grant Surveyors, is now leading the Weber office. Former Weber owner Jay Ebersole remains in a directing role with the company.

Land Grant President Steven Black retains oversight of all joint operations. The acquisitions brings the total staff to 27 people.

Land Grant Surveyors, or LGS, is part of ELA Group Inc., an engineering and architectural firm based in Lititz.

“LGS’s acquisition of Weber not only provides a growth opportunity, it will allow us to better serve all of our clients, collaboratively,” Black said in a statement. “Adding the talented professionals from Weber to our team will enhance our ability to support and serve all of our clients in a professional and timely manner. With our newer technological abilities, including aerial imaging and mapping services, we are positioned to reach out to new clients in the area as well.”

LGS was founded in 2008. It serves residential and commercial clients throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland. The firm provides a variety of surveying services, including aerial imaging and mapping services, 3-D laser scanning and modeling.

Weber Surveyors, meanwhile, has been serving clients in Lancaster County since 1970. The firm focuses primarily on construction surveying and providing boundary and topographic surveying services for firms specializing in land planning and engineering.
