Brewery, restaurant on tap for Lower Paxton neighborhood

Veteran brewer Adam Cole, who also worked at Victory Brewing Co. in Downingtown, is heading up the brewery. Chef Christian DeLutis is overseeing the restaurant.
Cole, 34, said the environment remains ripe for opening a new brewery, despite growth in the craft beer industry over the last few years.
The brewery and restaurant will operate separately but collaborate under the same roof at 8001 Union Station Blvd. The 12,000-square-foot building will be the first commercial building in the town center of the neighborhood, which is being built by Lower Paxton Township-based Yingst Homes.
The restaurant will have a bar that looks directly into a wood-fired kitchen with a custom-built hearth.
“We’ll be working with food that is seasonally appropriate and as local as possible,” DeLutis said. “This is a place to get food that you understand.”
The brewery, meanwhile, will feature a stationary taco truck and offer four beers year-round, as well as rotating seasonal offerings.
The initial beer menu will include an India pale ale, a double IPA, a wheat beer and a cream ale. Both establishments will also serve other Pennsylvania beers, wines and spirits.
“The brewery is going to be a reflection of what I’ve learned at ABC and Victory,” said Cole, who started at Harrisburg-based ABC as an intern. “I wouldn’t be who I am if I hadn’t worked at those places.”
Additional space is available at Union Station. Lemoyne-based RSR Realtors is marketing a 16,000-square-foot commercial building that will offer first-floor retail and second-floor office or condominium space. Construction is planned for 2019.
RSR said potential tenants could include a coffee shop, pizza shop or salon.
