Illinois-based Quattro Development is replacing the former Camp Hill VA clinic with a 12,400-square-foot center housing four tenants: retailer Mattress Warehouse and three restaurants — Mission BBQ, CoreLife Eatery and Jersey Mike’s Subs.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs earlier this week opened a larger clinic in Upper Allen Township, allowing the new construction project to move forward.

Quattro co-founder Rob Walters said Thursday that the company is hoping to start on the new center by the second week of October. The company would like to have the building construction done by next spring, which would be followed by tenant fit-out and openings next summer. The overall site is 2.2 acres.

“We will demolish and build as much as we can this year,” Walters said.

Construction is expected to cost about $2 million to $2.5 million, he said. With tenant fit-outs, the project will likely total about $3 million.

Quattro has hired York-based Stewart & Tate to oversee construction of the center.

The developer has been active in Central Pennsylvania, with recent retail projects in both York and Lancaster counties. The company also has invested in the Williamsport and Selinsgrove areas, Chambersburg and the Lehigh Valley.
