The Lancaster-based firm has moved from an 800-square-foot space at 19 E. Middle St. to a 2,600-square-foot space at 123 Baltimore St., close to the Adams County courthouse.

The new office is home to longtime Gettysburg attorney Robert L. McQuaide, who joined Barley Snyder in July. McQuaide, who is in the firm’s education and personal planning practice groups, has been solicitor for the Gettysburg Area and Upper Adams school districts since the 1970s.

“This was part of our plan from the start when we came to Gettysburg, to hire attorneys and allow room to expand further,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said in a statement. “We’ve hired our first attorney that will be in Gettysburg full-time, so expanding our office for him, his assistant and for additional hiring is the logical move.”

Barley Snyder has more than 90 attorneys practicing from offices located in Lancaster, York, Reading, Harrisburg, Malvern, Hanover and Gettysburg, as well as in Hunt Valley and Columbia, Maryland.

“Joining Barley Snyder has allowed me to tap into the firm’s vast resources throughout central Pennsylvania and to bring my clients services that might not have been available to them in the past,” McQuaide said in a statement.
