H.R. Weaver Building Systems, based in North Londonderry Township, on Wednesday announced its acquisition of Hahnlen Electrical Contracting in Annville and Steve Kreider Painting in Palmyra.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed. The acquisitions add eight employees — five electricians and three painters — to H.R. Weaver’s 20-person workforce.

“We have been in discussions with the owners of these two companies as part of their succession plan,” said Chad Weaver, president and CEO of H.R. Weaver. “Both of the owners wanted to retire and we felt this would be an excellent addition to H.R. Weaver Building Systems.”

H.R. Weaver has had a working relationship with both companies. Weaver said buying them will help H.R. Weaver tackle more construction work in-house, which will reduce its dependency on subcontractors and help the bottom line on project costs.

The company is the developer of the Flightpath Sports Park, a business park in South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County.
